Dismissal time:

Dismissal time for our walkers is 2:30 pm and early release days dismissal will be at 1:30​ pm. Teachers will walk your child(ren) to the parent pick up area.
 
Dismissal changes should be sent in writing to each teacher, so that the teacher knows how the students will go home on that day. If an emergency arises you may call the school prior to 1 p.m. to make a dismissal change. Please be aware that classrooms are called at 1:30 p.m., so there aren't frequent classroom interruptions. Please have your license # ready for security purposes for any early dismissals. Also please be aware that during dismissal everyone in the office has a particular dismissal duty and the phones are usually busy.
 
Important Addition:  At the end of the school day, our students wrap-up their instructional day, get homework and continue to get important information until 2:30. If you must pick up your child early, please refrain from picking them up between 2:15 and 2:30  (1:55 - 1:30 on early release days).  Thanks so much for your help and support in your child's education.

Early Check-Out

If you need to pick your child up before dismissal, please come to the office first with your identification. We will call down to the classroom and have your child(ren) come to meet you. If you call the office to give a message to your child please have identification ready. Our clerical staff wants to be sure we are talking to the parent. If you are checking your child out for a doctor's appointment, please get a note from the doctor and send it to the attendance office so your child's absence can be marked excused.

Attendance

Good attendance helps to foster success in school. If your child is absent please call the school to let us know by leaving a message (575-4135 ext. 42411). Illnesses are excused absences, however unless we hear from you the day of the absence or receive a note from you the following day, the absence is noted as being unexcused. Please get a note when going to the doctor or dentist.

At the end of the day we frequently receive requests from daycare providers regarding the attendance of students. If your child is absent or has been signed out of school earlier, please notify the daycare center. Due to confidentiality, the school is not supposed to disclose information on a student unless it is to a parent or guardian. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated. This will help us to keep your child safe.
